The Complete Retail Vision |
| All successful stores begin with an exciting idea. Whether it’s a totally new product or a new way of selling an existing product, retail ideas are fundamental to inspiring customers and attracting sales.
No matter how preliminary your thoughts and concepts, we will help expand and develop your ideas into a complete retail vision that highlights your point of difference and maximises your marketing objectives. We do this by employing Mark Muller’s unique Strategic Design Process detailed in his book titled The Power of Retail Design. Mark’s strategy uses a step-by-step process that explores the opportunities offered by your business model, your proposed location and your marketing objectives before applying them to every aspect of your store design including the layout, merchandising, signage, graphics, lighting and decor. The end result is a highly-tuned retail environment designed to attract customers and maximise sales – your complete retail vision! |
Maximise Your Chances Of Success With Our Thorough Design Process |
| Working with Mark Retail, you will be guided through five phases of the retail design process. Completed in order, these phases provide the most efficient path to opening your new store and maximise your chances of retail success: |
| 1. Site Analysis & Evaluation We complete a thorough investigation of your proposed retail site. This is to measure and document the physical features of your space as well as identify specific qualities in relation to the surrounding environment. Your new store can then take full advantage of every opportunity your site has to offer.
|
| 2. Store Layout & Planning You will receive accurately scaled floor plan concepts of your store addressing customer access, fixture layout, traffic flow, department positioning, security, and staff operations. Careful consideration is given in this phase to space planning of both demand and impulse products to both maximise exposure and efficiency of shelf space.
|
| 3. Store Branding & Design The appearance and image of your retail store is critical to positioning your brand to successfully appeal to your target market and attract customers through your door. During this phase, development of your brand may include your retail logo, store signage, lifestyle graphics, interior décor, and even uniforms and bags. Uniting every aspect of your retail image will ensure your store conveys a consistent message to your customers and provides a unique brand experience.
|
| 4. Construction Budget Planning Sticking to a budget is vital to the success of any retail project. Mark Retail analyses the projected fitout costs of your store concept prior to preparing detailed architectural documentation. This way we both have the opportunity to assess the design at a stage where changes are relatively easy, rather than down the track where they are both difficult and costly.
|
| 5. Design Documentation Successful implementation of your new store concept depends on accurate and thorough preparation of drawings and specifications detailing of every aspect of your design. Mark Retail prides itself on supplying its clients with a documentation package that creates a smooth transition from the drawing board to store opening.
