The Power of Retail Design is the culmination of 20 years experience in retail design by industry expert Mark Muller.

Marks career in Retail Design began in the '80s with renowned Canadian retail designers The Watt Group after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Here he learned the skills & techniques of the professional retail designer while working on projects with Australian-based retailers such as Coles Supermarkets, Kmart, BMW, Mitre 10 Hardware, Shell, Liquorland, and many others. This experience formed the foundation of his retail design career.

Following his move to Brisbane, Mark started his own retail design company working for both major retailers and one-off store owners and now has more than one thousand retail projects completed around Australia and overseas.

His client list includes The Toyota Motor Corporation, Woolworths Petrol, The Golden Casket Lottery Corporation, The Harrison's Pharmacy Group, Delaware North, Hungry Jacks, Nandos, Heineken, IGA, Urban Burger, Neuman's Petrol, Lexus, Mary Ryan's, Lego, LJ Hooker, Genesys Financials, Emily, AbiGroup, and Nextra Newsagents.

Mark is currently a director of his Brisbane-based design company Mark Retail, and continues his work on all types of retail stores including food shops, cafes, fashion stores, showrooms, pharmacies, newsagents, convenience stores, gift shops, book shops, beauty salons, as well as many others.

Over the years, Marks career has seen him gain experience and master every stage of the shop design and fitout process including retail brand & store image design, fitout documentation, construction estimating, and project management.

In The Power of Retail Design, Mark lays bare the secrets, tips & tricks that he has learned throughout his career for all shop owners to benefit from. With this manual, any existing or new shop owner can now take immediate benefit from Mark's wealth of experience to maximize the potential of their own businesses.

Special mention must also go to the Guru Shop Design Team of Kirstin Farr and Annette Muller for production of Marks raw manuscripts to create the very readable and powerful business tool it has become today.
